Political and regulatory advocacy in the internet and telecommunications industry is one of my key focus areas as a freelance consultant and lawyer. Previously, I served as Head of Public Affairs at United Internet AG (1&1, IONOS, GMX, Web.de, and 1&1 Versatel), where I led the company’s Public Affairs team with liaison offices in Berlin and Brussels.
As a lawyer with a doctorate, I also lectured on copyright and media law at bbw University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. After completing my legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Oldenburg, with stations at the German University of Administrative Sciences and the Federal Cartel Office, I worked as Head of Intellectual Property at the IT association Bitkom.
I rarely regret having sacrificed my parallel studies in physics for extensive involvement in university politics at Osnabrück University. In my free time, I try to spend as much of it as possible with my family and out on the water in my kayak.
