Portfolio
Regulatory intensity is steadily increasing, particularly in the digital economy. As a result, the framework of requirements to be considered is expanding, leading to additional efforts and potential restrictions on the company’s own activities. At the same time, regulation offers an opportunity to strengthen a company’s own competitive position. To actively shape this process, the need for knowledgeable, timely, and targeted exchange with legislators, regulatory authorities, and key stakeholders is growing—alongside the tasks that must be managed in daily business operations.
As an independant consultant, a lawyer admitted to the Berlin Bar, and a registered lobbyist with the German Bundestag, I advise and support clients in advocacy within regulated industries. As a fully qualified lawyer with a doctorate, I leverage 15 years of experience in political Berlin and Brussels, holding expert and leadership positions while actively navigating controversial dossiers and critical situations. With a keen eye for economic interests and a strong technical understanding, I pursue high standards for my work, contribute my expertise in both subject matter and methodology, and implement ideas in a structured, efficient, and straightforward manner.

about
Political and regulatory advocacy in the internet and telecommunications industry is one of my key focus areas as a freelance consultant and lawyer. Previously, I served as Head of Public Affairs at United Internet AG (1&1, IONOS, GMX, Web.de, and 1&1 Versatel), where I led the company’s Public Affairs team with liaison offices in Berlin and Brussels.
As a lawyer with a doctorate , I also lectured on copyright and media law at bbw University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. After completing my legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Oldenburg, with stations at the German University of Administrative Sciences and the Federal Cartel Office , I worked as Head of Intellectual Property at the IT association Bitkom .
I rarely regret having sacrificed my parallel studies in physics for extensive involvement in university politics at Osnabrück University . In my free time, I try to spend as much of it as possible with my family and out on the water in my kayak.
